Book One details the disintegration of Yugoslavia, the horrors of the Holocaust, and Zala’s epic attempt to save her family. Book Two chronicles the aftermath of the war including Zala’s continued efforts to find her children, her siblings, her mother, and her great uncle. Book Three is a modern-day thriller. A Slovenian criminal court judge is murdered and his death may or may not be tied to Zala and her family.
